Union - Gurunam Singh Khalsa

On his CD Union, Gurunam Singh shows impressively that he stands for calm, ballad-like music just as well as for dynamic, driving and "groovy" sounds – on Union, he united both in a wonderful balance.

Many people love the live-performances of Gurunam Singh, in which he brings people to get up on their feet and dance from the first note on, through his highly dynamic grooves and the fast mantra repetitions. The Mantra-Pauri-Medley Ong Kar Nirankar & Jai Te Gung is a perfect example for this – powerful and fast, genially chanted and driving on a wave of intense dynamics.

Other pieces on this CD are more calm, relaxing and inwarded – they are a pure reflection of inner Love, of letting go and of divine surrender. Gurunam Singh shows here his fine sensitivity for beautiful ballads and empathic melodies.

In total, Union is a well-fashioned, colorful mantra- and chant-album by which Gurunam Singh deepens his path as a spiritual musician. And last but not least the known producer Thomas Barquee,who also produced most of the albums by Snatam Kaur, gives his excellent final sound-touch to this album.
