The rye germ bread is a wonderfully firm and nutritious bread that contains only organic rye and water. It contains neither yeast nor sourdough. Sprouted rye bread is made by letting the rye germinate in water for 2-3 days. The germinated rye is then gently ground, shaped into a loaf and then baked at a low temperature (110 °C-130 °C).

The processing of the whole rye grain including the valuable, nutritious germ as well as the gentle processing preserves a maximum of nutrients and a large amount of dietary fibre. This is truly fresh, living bread!

Tip:
Sprouted bread tastes best when toasted briefly, for example in a sandwich maker.
