Rise - Sukha CD

Rise is a dynamic mantra rock album by the US duo Sukha, produced by Ram Dass Khalsa. This album is influenced by multi-dimensional sounds of the past and present with a style of its own. Rise is a musical mantra journey to uplift and stoke your yoga practice or your next drive down the highway.

Inspired by the Root Chakra, this album is sure to take you on a spiritual adventure. In addition to the core members and writers Sukhmani on vocals and Sukhman on acoustic guitar, this album features world-class master players such as Tripp Dudley on percussion, Jared May on Bass, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Ram Dass Khalsa, Peter John Stoltzman on Piano, Michael Vanier and Matthew Charles Heulitt on electric guitars, flautist Amar Khalsa and Sahib-Amar Khalsa on viola.
Eliza Shah (background vocals) and Kenneth Oberholtzer (violin) make their impressive mantra music debuts and also provide amazing beauty to this album.

Sukha is based in Los Angeles and has performed at several hundred shows, concerts and Kundalini Yoga classes and continues to perform weekly in Los Angeles and beyond. Most of the classes are led by singer/songwriter and Kundalini Yoga teacher Sukhmani.  She and her husband, Sukhman, have been playing and performing music their whole lives in a variety of genres and met while she was attending Berklee College of Music in Boston in the late 1990’s.  They have been playing music together ever since.  They fell in love with the power of mantra, yoga and the sound current and the rest is history.  Their album Rise is dedicated to all people and artists that have changed their perception of the world and made it a better place.
