Green mung beans have a delicious, nutty-mild taste and are part of a balanced Ayurvedic cuisine and diet. Traditionally, they are used, usually nicely spiced and seasoned, as classic dals, soups or salads. In India, fried mung beans can be found everywhere as snacks.
Moong Dal Chilka from Cosmoveda are unpeeled Green organic Mung Beans, cut in half to reduce cooking time. So they don’t even need to soak in water when you are in a hurry.
Mung Dal Chilka is traditionally mixed with rice, for example with the aromatic Basmati Rice, Ghee and spices, and cooked at Kitchari: a simple yet very nutritious, light and tasty dish.
