Linseed oil is also called "liquid gold" and is a real Omega 3 power pack. The native home of the flax plant is located in Egypt, Iran, Syria and eastern Turkey. Linseed has also been cultivated in Europe for some time.

Our organic linseed oil pours golden and thick from the bottle and has an intensely nutty and delicious-hearty taste. Our ancestors valued the high-quality fat of the linseed oil as a nutritious food. A well-known dish with linseed oil is pealed potatoes with curd cheese, which is enriched with the golden yellow oil from linseed.

Linseed oil contains an enormous amount of 3-fold unsaturated omega-3 fatty acid, known as alpha-linolenic acid. The cold-pressed organic linseed oil contains up to 70% of it - more than most other oils and even more than fish!

Scientific studies confirm the diverse positive properties of alpha-linolenic acid. It has recently been found that alpha linolenic acid from linseed oil is also incorporated into the cell membranes and is, in part, transformed into other important omega-3 fatty acids.

In addition to its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, linseed oil also contains numerous other valuable ingredients, such as Vitamin E and secondary plant substances such as polyphenols, which have an antioxidative effect and protect the body cells against the negative effects of free radicals, as well as phytohormones (lignans), which are said to have a positive effect on the hormone balance.
