Herbal Iron Rasayana by Maharishi Ayurveda is a rich supplement which contains iron that has been ayurvedically processed (called iron bhasma). It promotes the assimilation of iron by the body. At the same time, through the elimination of Ama* (metabolic waste products), Herbal Iron Rasayana also gives support to the iron metabolism.

* Note about the ayurvedic term Ama:
In the ayurvedic scriptures, the term „Ama“ is being used regularly. The word-to-word translation of Ama is: undigested. According to the ayurvedic scriptures, Ama occurs when our intake of food is not digested properly according to bad eating habits, or to a weak Agni (= digestive fire). According to ayurvedic knowledge, Ama is described as a kind of slag material in the body, which can slow down any kind of metabolic processes. An equivalent, corresponding term in western science to the term “Ama”, which we have transposed as “metabolic waste products”, to date does not exist.
