The charming "Devdas" oil lamp is a natural, soft source of light. It is made of solid brass and can be used again and again. With its beautiful shape and pretty decorations, it is an adornment for any room.
This oil lamp is made under fair conditions in a small craft workshop in India. The natural metal brass makes the lamp extremely durable and sustainable.
- Diameter: approx. 6 cm
- Diameter inner bowl (oil + wick): approx. 4 cm
- Height approx. 4.8 cm
- Supplied with a set of cotton wicks (approx. 30 pieces)
Usage:
Thread a cotton wick (approx. 6 cm long) through the top opening of the metal stick with a paper clip, so that a piece of wick sticks out at the top and the larger piece of wick rests on the bottom of the inner bowl. You can use any conventional natural oil from the kitchen as fuel, ghee is also great for this. Put about 1 tablespoon in the bowl. To prevent the wick from burning too quickly, grease the top of the wick with a little oil on your fingers. Now the wick just needs to be lit and the lamp will emit a pleasant light.
Tip:
Due to its natural, soft light, the oil lamp is also very suitable for a Tratakam Meditation (the flame is fixed with open eyes).
