The flower buds of the evergreen clove tree contain a high amount of Eugenol and Vanillin and originate from the molucca islands. Cloves are preferably used for spices pastries, fruit dishes, preserved jams and many meat dishes.
Cloves fit very well to cardamom and cinnamom in indian dishes. Cloves are also an important ingredient in the popular Yogi Tea.
