Yogi Bhajan instructed Guru Shabad Singh Khalsa to put to music and record the verses of Jaap Sahib (one of the Sikh Morning Prayers), beginning with Ajai Alai. Gurushabd released this CD during the summer of 2001, just before September 11th, and Yogi Bhajan commented to him at that time:
"This world is in a lot of pain….people are going crazy and these Jaap Sahib Chants (verses) are the tool to help them out of their depression and anger. This is what is required NOW. We need to penetrate the hearts of everyone so they can feel hope and love again."
Used exclusively during the Master’s Touch course in Espanola, this CD includes vocal accompaniment by Nirinjan Kaur, whose meditative and sweet voice enhances the effectiveness of this mantra.
